Raining Cats and Dogs

CHICAGO -- South Shore Works partnered with Hinsdale Humane Society and the Tree House Veterinary Wellness Center to host a free vaccination event for cats and dogs in the South Shore, Chatham, Woodlawn, and South Chicago neighborhoods. The Tree House offered Rabies and Distemper vaccinations from their vet techs along with micro chipping and pet care products, and the Hinsdale Humane Society offered free behavioral counseling.

The event took place at the Quarry Event Center on 75th and Phillips, and though the waiting patrons stood in the rain, they stuck it out and felt that it was well worth the wait. Close to one hundred cats and dogs received vaccinations and microchips, and all owners left with vaccination records, access to the 24PetWatch for microchips, and multiple bags of pet food.
