Vaccinations at the Local Market

CHICAGO -- In honor of the fist Saturday in April, South Shore Works and South Shore Hospital hosted a vaccination event in the Jeffery Plaza on 71st and Jeffrey. They set up shop next to the Local Market, where pop up shops from local businesses are highlighted in the store every Saturday.

The South Shore Works outreach team took to the streets and into the grocery store to pass out flyers and bring awareness to the vaccination site. In the span of two hours, the South Shore team was able to vaccinate close to ten patrons in the area including adults above the age of fifty in need of their booster shot.
